Noisy and toxic location (diesel trucks and gas station)
Only one grocery store with bad selection
Too far from amenities - 2 hours round trip
Nowhere to walk safely; too much traffic
Local water recreation turned to private
Very hostile climate; dog allergies & fleas
Unappealing neighborhood and culture
Lots of cigarette butt & other litter
Most looks unrecognizable due to extreme makeover
How much time, labor and cost would all this take you?
I've actually had people tell me I avoid manual labor, ha! How delusional others can be!

The Story of This, My Own First Home & Sustainable Business
This was quite ironic considering the building had been a gas station where mercury was bootlegged long ago.
I wanted to switch the business to selling eco friendly and natural health products or even start an environmental history museum, but this was the wrong market. I was a misfit: A health conscious, enlightened environmental activist smack dab in the middle of the heartland that does the most damage to the environment with an anthropogenic culture.
