Whistler (Village), British Columbia, Canada
September 19th & 20th, 2013
There are many people from all over the world who visit Whistler year-round, particularly from the U.K and Australia. I would love to live in BC. I fit in so well and it hurts me every time I have to go back to the states. Border patrol is very serious with heavy
"Where's home? What brings you here?".

I was afraid of heights except for flying. I read Whistler's PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola lift breaks three records: It is the highest lift of its kind at 436m, has the longest unsupported span at 3,024m (made in Switzerland) and it completes the longest continuous lift system in the world, so I was intrigued to see it. In the summer, the area is the world's largest mountain bike park. I didn't know if I could handle the lifts. I bought a discount advanced two day ticket anyway. The first 30 minutes were totally terrifying for me as I have never been on a lift before. I made it to the PEAK 2 PEAK lift, but was too scared to get on until the very last second. The next day I rode it two more times to include the glass floor version! My dog went with me, lucky him, because dogs are not allowed on the lifts. Everybody enjoyed him and asked many questions.
On my second time up, I saw a wild mamma bear & her two cubs! I had never seen wild bears before anywhere else.
